IDN Manager - 503B market

Job Summary / Overview:

Responsible for achieving assigned sales goals, presentations to high-level pharmacy executives, launching new products and expanding currently portfolio successfully through the expansion of Sagent’s IDN footprint. Providing excellent customer service, GPO contract management, and all appropriate administrative duties.

Assisting and supporting the Director of Sales in addition to all sales activities in assigned territory. Support role includes but is not limited to: training new and current IDN specialists, field work with Sagent regional sales team, regional reporting as requested, assisting in the interview process of new sales personnel, regional sales representation as needed at industry events.

 

Success in the role is measured on:

  • Acquisition of new IDN target accounts.

  • Successful attainment of sales quotas.

  • Completion of assigned projects.

  • Operating within budget parameters.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In person calls to the targeted accounts.

  • Call Preparation and Planning.

  • Territory Analysis through Sagent CRM systems.

  • Phone, Email, Association’s Formal Meetings, and other forms of communication with target accounts.

  • Develop and manage a region selling 503B injectable pharmaceuticals to the hospital, alternate site and other continuum of care end users.

  • Utilize knowledge of the 503B market place, Group Purchasing Organizations, Prime Vendors, and multisource pharmaceuticals to obtain sales.


Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

  • 7+ years of generic injectable sales experience is preferred and 2 years 503B pharmaceutical experience, or comparable experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales.

  • Demonstrated success in their previous sales career.

  • Knowledge of the 503B market place, Group Purchasing Organizations, Prime Vendors, and multisource pharmaceuticals is highly desired.


Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required. MBA preferred.

  • Competence with Microsoft Office tools required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.


Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 75% travel within territory (US) is anticipated.
