Senior Human Resources Manager

The candidate in this position will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Human Resources Department.  We are looking for an experienced Manager with substantial ability to develop and implement process and work collaboratively across the organization.  The goal of Sagent Pharmaceuticals Human Resources Department is to continuously develop a culture of excellence and improve all aspects of people management.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources.

Job Description:

  • Facilitate positive relationships between HR and employees across the organization, including off-site facilities

  • Implement and administer employee policies

  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues

  • Develop an employee engagement program including events, recognition, “lunch and learns” and employee wellness

  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience

  • Manage the recruiting process for all employee positions from job posting creation in collaboration with hiring managers, sourcing and communicating with candidates to negotiating offers and managing onboarding activities

  • Create, develop, improve and document the people processes across the organization

  • Support, drive and improve the performance management process

  • Develop and execute a leadership training program and addressing critical management topics such as recruiting, conflict resolution, effectively handling difficult conversations and other topics critical to Human Resources

  • Propose and execute a corporate social responsibility program including giving back to the community and volunteering

  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to improve employee engagement and overall efficiency


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management

  • At least 4 years of process development and improvement experience

  • Employee relations experience

  • Hands-on and managerial experience with all aspects of HR

  • Experience with Enterprise Technology Systems such as ADP, Paylocity or PeopleSoft, Human Resource Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems

  • Comfort with diplomatically influencing others without direct control

  • Well versed in all relevant HR laws

  • A vision for excellence and positive outlook

  • Dedication to professional growth and learning

  • Ability to travel up to 20%


Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP or similar certification

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now

  • Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices or other Healthcare or Healthcare service-related industry experience
